photo of wheelchair racerProfessor Maria Fiatarone Singh is the leader of the group of researchers working on clinical issues: exercise by people with various diseases or disabilities, or who are at risk of injury or disease.

 

Staff researchers whose work involves projects with direct clinical application include:


>  Associate Professor Glen Davis, who is the director of the Rehabilitation Research Centre,
> Dr Chin Moi Chow, director of the Delta Sleep Research Unit
>  Dr Helen O'Connor, working in the areas of sports nutrition and energy metabolism
>  Dr Jacqui Raymond, who specialises in exercise for clinical populations and cardiovascular control during exercise
> Ms Rhonda Orr, studying the elderly and exercise, nutrition and risks of hip fracture.
