Module 07: Research Learning Circles

A research learning circles is a specific kind of learning set, following a set agenda. A learning set is a small learning community that enables 5 to 10 members to support each other in their learning.  Each learning set adopts an action frame of reference, enabling and facilitating each member to complete the learning tasks he or she sets for himself or herself. Sharing and learning from experience is an important part of this. A research learning circle is a kind of learning set, designed to meet the needs of postgraduate research students in a university setting.

This module contains information and resources for

  • members of research learning circles
  • other people facilitating or participating in learning sets.

I suggest you skim through the pages, and return to those of most interest. Forms for use in learning set meetings can be downloaded in RTF format, then printed.
