Since, decisions about the optimal provision of health care services and alternative use of health care resources are complex and of much concern for governments and administrators, ascertaining how key health authorities (i.e. policy makers,...) make decisions in complex systems is becoming increasingly an important issue for study.

Our Research Team at the University of Sydney is conducting "a study of economic evaluation and resource allocation decision-making" to investigate the role of health economic evaluation information in the decision-making process in Australia’s health care system. It is envisaged that the results of this study can inform decision makers and health economists of the complexity of decision making in the health care system.

Australian key health authorities (i.e. decision makers or policy makers) such as: Chief Executive Officers, Directors, Managers, and etc. at the three levels of health administration, Federal, State/Territory and Regional are invited to participate in this research project. Participants will be invited to visit an electronic survey published on AROW web site:

http://www2.fhs.usyd.edu.au/arow/healthecosys.

Please feel free to visit this website and to pass this request to those who are interested in.

If you are willing to participate in this study please read the Participant Information Statement and start the on-line questionnaire.
