Module 4: Improving Health Systems
A learning module for health professionals who want to use action inquiry
processes to improve the services they offer.
Improving Health Systems
This module introduces health professionals to ways of thinking and acting to
improve their professional practice or the services they offer as part of a
team. We offer you a new model for applying action inquiry principles to
improving health services from within. It is designed for practicing health
professionals, especially those who have leadership or management
responsibility.
- This is the first of three modules in a postgraduate elective Unit of
Study offered in the Faculty of Health Sciences for course credit to Master
of Health Science or other postgraduate study.
- This module may be taken by itself either with or without assessment for
professional development.
The learning process in this module can be imagined as a spiral, with broader
and deeper understanding in each cycle. Start with Introduction,
then work through each Part in turn. You may then want to deepen your
knowledge by taking other modules in AROW, or in other ways. This module, including assessment items has a course credit value equivalent
to 2 Credit Points. You should set aside at least 50 hours of study time to
complete this module.
