Planning to Plan

Some preparation before starting your plan will pay off. Make a checklist of the things you need to do to plan and prepare for your plan. This checklist can get you started. Modify it to suit your requirements. 

Have you done each of the following?

  • Written a descriptive title of project.
     

  • Got a statement that the Executive Officer or Coordinator will provide time and resources needed to complete the plan and the project.

  • List the names of the people in the planning team,  the people who will make the plan.

  • List the stakeholders. The people, groups and organisations who may be affected by this plan.

  • Agreed with the planning team on time to be set aside for planning, and a place to meet.
