What to Plan

Look at the table below. Which cell does your project fit?

In Cell A, plan a preliminary inquiry to clarify goals before trying to write a full project plan. Think about a preliminary project with a clear goal (eg. to discover the goals for a main project).

In Cell B, you can plan for two preliminary projects. First use collaborative inquiry to turn fuzzy thinking into less fuzzy thinking. The goal for the first preliminary project is the clarify goals for a main project. Then, a second preliminary project may identify and evaluate possible methods.

In Cell C, write a project plan. Linear planning may be suitable here.

In Cell D, write a project plan and engage in an action inquiry (or action learning) project to discover appropriate methods.
