M08: Reflective Practice

Introduction

Reflective practice is a way of working as a professional, which has two distinctive characteristics:

  1. The professional is actively aware of her own actions and thoughts while she is practising her profession, and
  2. She seeks to ground her professional activity in reliable and objective information gathered from her own experience and the experience of others.

Work through the documents in this module, in the order that they are listed in the left margin of this page.

Work through the module in the order that pages are listed in the left margin of this page. To go through pages in sequence, click on the top of that column, then click on the "Next" button at the top of each page.

Refer also to the Action Research Electronic Reader and the glossary.

If you are enrolled in BACH5074 Reflective Inquiry in Practice, refer to the Unit of Study web pages for assessment and other information.

There is not a large amount of reading in this module, so you should have more time for reflection. Hope you enjoy the experience,

Ian Hughes
