OLDER PEOPLE and LIFE PROJECT - Successful Retirement

Aim of the Study

The aim of OPAL - the successful retirement project, is to be able to develop strategies to make the experience of moving out of full time work and into a variety of other activities such as retirement a positive transition.

Who is conducting this study?

The study is being conducted by Ms. Caroline Howe and will form the basis for a PhD degree at The University of Sydney under the supervision of  Dr. Lynda Matthews, Dr Gomathi Sitharthan, and Dr Robert Heard

 

What does this study involve?

In this study you will be asked to complete a questionnaire which includes informal questions and standardised tests.

How long will the study take?

It will take approximately 30 minutes to complete both informal questions and standardised tests.

Who will know the results?

All aspects of this study are confidential, except as required by law. The results will be coded to maintain participant anonymity, which allows the researcher to withdraw participant responses from the study on request. Individual participants will not be identifiable.

Can I withdraw from the study?

Your participation is voluntary and it is possible to withdraw at any time. Any person with concerns or complaints about the conduct of a research study can contact the Manager for Ethics Administration, University of Sydney on (02) 9351 4811.
