Healthy Ageing and the Internet Research TeamThe Ageing Well, Ageing Productively Research Group in the School of Behavioural & Community Health aims to develop better behavioural and community health strategies to improve the mental and physical capacities of ageing people. This is directly aligned with national, University, College and Faculty research themes. As part of this research group, the Healthy Ageing and the Internet (HAI) Research Team, pursues the same aim by inquiring into the role of information and communications technology in promoting the health of older people, using ICT in this research. The team consists of Professor M. Mathews, Associate Professor C. Russell, Dr I. Hughes (Senior Lecturer), Dr. A. Campbell (Lecturer) and Ms Shima Sum (PhD Candidate). In the period 2000-2005 members of this small team have produced 50 refereed publications, twelve successful HRD completions (4 Masters, 8 Doctoral), research grant income exceeding $700,000 and are awaiting the outcome of an Ageing Well Ageing Productively Research Program application for $999,750 over 5 years.
