Postgraduate Degrees through Action Research

Through AROW you can study towards one of four research degrees or two coursework degrees using action research or action learning. To find out how to enrol in a higher degree through action research, read this page then go to 'pre-reading' in the links in the left margin, then use the 'next' button to work through the pages.

Research degrees

The research degrees available through action research with AROW are

  • Doctor of Philosophy
  • Doctor of Health Science
  • Master of Applied Science
  • Master of Applied Science (Gerontology)
  • Master of Applied Science (Behavioural Science)

AROW can collaborate with research supervisors in other Schools or Faculties to offer support in supervising action research and related approaches to research in any discipline or profession offered at The University of Sydney.

Coursework Degrees

  • Master of Health Science (Gerontology)
  • Master of Health Science (Behavioural Science)

These coursework degrees can include up to four 'Improving Health Systems' electives (50% of coursework) supporting a long term action inquiry project over four semesters (two years)
